How do I find crashed S-class ships in NMS? ›

Using a Transmission Tower is the simplest way to find a Crashed Ship. These towers are POIs located randomly on planets. Inside each tower is a puzzle where you have to enter an access code. This will ping the distress beacon of any nearby Crashed Ship or Crashed Freighter.

There are a variety of ways to locate a downed interceptor, including destroying a Sentinel capital ship; completing a bespoke story encounter; defeating new corrupted Sentinel planetary forces; and via mysterious new abandoned encampments.

S-Class versions are the highest-rated and rarest of them all. Although it can be done for free, players will have to put in a lot of work to obtain a S-Class Freighter. They will just require an Economy Scanner and a lot of space travel to get one.

Mosquito-style ships are the final variety of exotic class ships with a ball co*ckpit. They are identifiable by their single, long thin nose. Squid/Calamari-style ships have a wide variety of different co*ckpits and distinctive tentacle noses. These are incredibly valuable ships due to their rarity.

Instead of finding one in a Trading Post, you can try to find No Man's Sky S-class Ships at a Space Station. Here the method is basically the same; the only thing you'll have to do is wait for the ships to land because you can't scan them while they are still in the air.

High End Crafting items (Stasis Device / Fusion Ignitor) can sell for around 16 million units each. You can create these using a variety of items that you can create or win from missions at the Space Station and the Nexus on the Space Anomaly.

The player can choose to claim and repair it, or exchange it for a better one at a Space Station or an Outpost. The crashed ship can be exchanged for one of the ships already owned, or, if fewer than twelve ships are already owned, it can be added to your starship collection.
