Minx Season 3 Is Canceled

Starz will not be proceeding with a third season of 1970s-set series Minx. The news is not surprising. Minx star Jake Johnson told Deadline last month that he did not expect a Season 3 renewal for the period erotic comedy, whose Season 2 finale aired Sept. 8.

“Minx” has been canceled at Starz, Variety has learned. This now marks the second time the series has been canceled. The first season of the comedy originally aired on Max, where it was renewed for a second season before it was canceled in a cost-cutting move.

Minx initially premiered on Max (then HBO Max) back in 2022, and the streaming platform greenlit the show for a second season, which was only a few days from wrapping production when Warner Bros. Discovery unceremoniously canceled it as a tax write-off.

Minx is an American comedy television series created and written by Ellen Rapoport and starring Ophelia Lovibond and Jake Johnson for HBO Max and later Starz. It aired from March 17, 2022 to September 8, 2023. In May 2022, the series was renewed for a second season.
