NATIONAL TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Has appeared in nine of the 12 USMNT matches in 2022, starting two and scoring a late equalizer at El Salvador in Concacaf Nations group play on June 14.
  • After recovering from a ruptured ACL, made his first appearance since Nov. 2019 when he appeared in the 1-0 win vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina on Dec. 18, 2021 in Carson, Calif.
  • Played in all six games at the 2017 Gold Cup and scored three goals, including the 88th minute game-winner in the final as the USA defeated Jamaica 2-1.
  • Scored his first USMNT goal on April 14, 2015 in a 2-0 win over Mexico in San Antonio, becoming the first men’s college player to score for the U.S. since September 1992.
  • Made his USMNT debut on November 18, 2014 in a 4-1 loss to Ireland in Dublin

2022 FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFYING

  • After missing eight qualifiers in 2021 due to an ACL injury, he returned to play in all six matches in 2022, starting one and making five substitute appearances.
  • On January 27, 2022 came off the bench in a 1-0 win over El Salvador in Columbus, Ohio to make his first World Cup Qualifying appearance since Sept. 5, 2017, at Honduras.

CLUB HIGHLIGHTS

  • In May 2022, helped Seattle Sounders become the first MLS team to win the Concacaf Champions League with a 5-2 aggregate win over Mexico’s Pumas UNAM. Morris scored three goals in the competition and was named to the Tournament Best XI
  • Was on loan to Swansea City when he suffered a second torn ACL on February 20, 2021, having appeared in five matches.
  • Named to MLS Best XI team following the shortened 2020 season in which he scored 10 goals and added 8 assists.
  • After missing the 2018 season with a torn ACL suffered on Feb. 22, 2018, he returned a scored 13 goals in 2019 and was named MLS Comeback Player of the Year as he helped Seattle win the 2019 MLS Cup.
  • Won the 2016 MLS Rookie of the Year award after scoring 14 goals and helping Seattle win the 2016 MLS Cup.
  • Played three seasons and scored 23 goals in 54 games (2013-2015) at Stanford University; scored twice in the 2015 NCAA College Cup Final, a 4-0 win over Clemson. Was also named 2015 MAC Hermann Trophy winner as the best NCAA Division 1 player
  • Played club soccer for Eastside FC (2009-12) and the Seattle Sounders FC U-18s (2012-13) in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy

PERSONAL

  • Son of Michael and Leslie Morris. His father, Dr. Michael Morris, is the chief medical director of the Seattle Sounders. His siblings are Christopher, Julian and Talia.
  • Was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of nine. His tattoo "T1D" on his inner arm is a tribute to the armband people with diabetes wear.
  • Created the Jordan Morris Foundation, which is dedicated to educating, inspiring, and supporting young people dealing with the disease.
  • Married his wife Eliza - who was born in London - on October, 2021
  • Enjoys playing golf and pickleball.
