I feel like that’s the case but it’s been sooooo tempting 🤣🤣🤣
Ngl I would LOVE one but in my pregnancies the heartbeat weren't easy to find even at the office with their equipment bc of where the placenta was placed and if you don't know where your placenta is attached you could freak out from not finding it 😅 it's just not worth it to me.
I have one only because another mom passed it on to me during my last pregnancy 🙂 I didn't use it often, but it was nice to have - especially for my husband since he doesn't get to come to most of the appointments! I also had an anterior placenta last time, so it was nice to have since I couldn't reliably feel baby move as early as some women. That said, I'm also a pretty chill person and don't get worked up too easily. If you're someone who would get stressed out if you can't find the heartbeat, don't get one!

There are cautions against using them. If you can't find the heartbeat it can cause a lot of unnecessary stress. Also, if you feel like something is wrong, check with the Doppler and find the HB and dismiss your fear and don't call your doctor, you can miss an actual issue. So if you use them, keep those risks in mind and make sure you're not relying on it medically. If you can do that, a Doppler is cool. If you can't, maybe stay away.

I have high anxiety and got one for my last pregnancy. Only ended up needing use it a couple of times but it made me feel better everytime to the point where I knew what to expect if I got out again and didn't need it anymore. I got mine 2nd hand on marketplace from someone else who had only used it once of twice so I didn't have to spend a ton.
